DISTRIBUTION OF PREGNANCY DELIVERY KITS BY THE DISTINGUISHED LADIES INITITIATIVE GROUP IN IFAKO-IJAIYE LG

The Distinguished Ladies Initiative is an NGO and a support group who visited the pregnant women in Ifako-Ijaiye with good tidings yesterday, 21st March, at the Area Office, NRC Building, Old Akute Rd., Iju, Ifako. They are a fun loving group who combine entertainment with charity services.
The programme which was an all encompassing  one loaded with activities  ranging from dancing exercises to sensitization on cancer and health tips for pregnant women commenced with the president, Distinguished Lady Paris Sanusi encouraging the women not to suffer in silence. She reiterated on the need for them to visit Health Care Centres, Hospitals and even reach out to the Distinguished Ladies Initiative whenever they are faced with health challenges.
Distinguished Lady Obukome Ibru gave a talk on Cancer Awareness and carried out a practical exercise to help the women do personal checks from time to time on their own.

The Secretary to Local Government, Pastor Ayo Jeje, who represented the Executive Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye LG, Apostle (Dr.) Oloruntoba Adetunji Oke, appreciated the support group for visiting Ifako-Ijaiye and extending their generosity as some Delivery Kits were distributed to all pregnant women present at the event.
The Medical Health Officer, Dr. Sanni Fausat equally appreciated the Distinguished Ladies and encouraged them to make the charity services a continuous one so that they can reach as many who cannot afford the Delivery Kits. She engaged the pregnant women in some exercises which she recommended to keep them fit before delivery.

Babatunde Adekanbi, Supervisor for Environment, Hon. Oluseshi Smith, Supervisor for Works, Hon. Sola Ajibose, Supervisor for WAPA, Hon. Toyin Akerele, Supervisor for Agric and Social Services, Hon. Femi Abiola Afikuyomi(JP), Chief Of Staff, Hon. Ibiyinka Thomas, S.A on Youths and Sports, Hon. Taofeek Olayinka Adewale, Head of Admin, Mr Abdulraheem Adewunmi Ogunbambi, Barr. Ojuolape, Council Consultant, SMC chairman, Iyaloja General, Chief Mrs Doyin Coker, comrade Jude Ndoh and other distinguished people of Ifako-Ijaiye LG.
