Dr Fisayo George Adelabu, the CEO, of Dr Bills Academy, has been nominated as the Most Innovative Forex Trader Of The Year.
The nomination was announced as part of the buildup to the 15th edition of the Lagos Ikeja City Award, which is scheduled to take place in Lagos, on the 28th of April 2024.
Dr. Fisayo George Adelabu is no doubt the embodiment of everything Woodrow Wilson had in mind when he made the statement, "You are not here merely to prepare to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement," during an address at Swarthmore College in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania.
Born as the first of two sons in Owo, Ondo state on April 19, 1986 to a middle-class Ekiti state family, Dr. Adelabu proceeded to evolve from being a born leader as the first son of his parents to being a self-made leader, dedicated to enabling the world to live more amply as Woodrow once urged.
His gradual but certain evolution into a world-class leader can be traced back to St. Paul’s minor seminary in Benin City, Edo State, where he received his secondary school education. In addition to performing commendably in his academics, Dr. Adelabu served the school in the veritable position of chapel prefect when his leadership capabilities were recognized by his teachers and peers alike. Following graduation from secondary school, Dr. Adelabu secured admission to study medicine and surgery at the University of Zaporozhye in Ukraine and thereafter completed his housemanship program in 2021 at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Dr. Adelabu, however, was not the stereotypical medical student, engrossed solely in texts. Recognizing that “all leadership begins with self-leadership,” as aptly put by John Maxwell, he began, as a student, to pave the path to what would become his magnum opus and steer the course of his future.
While in school, he developed a keen interest in forex trading and pursued this passion as fervently as he pursued his goal to become a medical doctor until he attained mastery. In April 2020, when the world was smoldering from the inferno sparked by the COVID-19 pandemic and people were flailing about in uncertainty, Dr. Adelabu's doubts about his personal goals gave way to certainty, and he established Dr Bills Academy, a fast-rising forex academy that has empowered many forex traders and helped them attain proficiency in the area. Today, the academy boasts over 20,000 subscribers, ranks as one of the foremost forex academies in Nigeria, and offers a range of packages and programs to help people achieve financial success in line with the first sustainable development goal (SDG 1): no poverty. The academy is also in partnership with four international brokers: Exness Broker, GMI Broker, IV Market Broker, and Kwakol Broker. Currently, Dr. Adelabu serves as the ambassador for Kwakol Market.
Leveraging on the immense success of his company, Dr. Adelabu, being a humanist at heart, made sincere efforts to water the fields of his immediate community and other youths like himself striving for sustenance and excellence. From philanthropic gestures like student scholarships and financial support for student unions to self-development strategies for youths like mentorship programs, Dr. Adelabu has lived up to the traditional African concept of Ubuntu: “I am, because you are.” It therefore comes as no surprise that he was awarded the Nelson Mandela Leadership Award of Excellence by the West African Youth Counsel at the occasion where he was made the West African Youth Ambassador. He has also been the beneficiary of several awards, such as the Icon of Women Development by the National Youth for Women Development and Education in Nigeria, the Forex Icon of the Year 2023 award, the Julius Nyerere Hall of Fame induction award by Young African Professionals and Entrepreneurs (YAPE-AFRICA), and the Humanitarian Service Award by the Nigeria Service Award Certificate.
On the whole, Dr. Adelabu’s overarching vision can be summed up in the words of Gautama Buddha: “For the good of the many, for the happiness of the many, out of compassion for the world.” Besides achieving personal excellence, Dr. Adelabu seeks to position this world on a path that engenders collective prosperity. This magnanimous vision is embodied in his pet project, “Dr Bills Medical Foundation,” which aims to tackle the 3rd sustainable development goal (SDG 3) by furnishing resources and funding for medical research, healthcare services, and patient assistance.
The Igbos have a proverb that says that when a man says yes, his chi affirms. Dr. Fisayo George Adelabu said yes very strongly on several occasions and disrupted the status quo. He is proof that positive change starts with one person.
