The Executive Chairman, Ifako-Ijaiye LG, Lagos State, Apostle Oloruntoba Adetunji Oke, On Postponement Of The Presidential/National Assembly And Gubernatorial/House Assembly Elections:

Following the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC's) decision postponing the Presidential/National Assembly and Gubernatorial/House of Assembly Elections, meant to commence yesterday to Saturday, February 23, 2019, and Saturday, March 9, 2019, respectively, which have been roundly condemned, I wish to sincerely apeal to the good people of the council area, especially all eligible voters and our loyal, irrepressible and positive minded All Progressives Congress (APC) Party members, not to be discouraged by the shift in Polls, but see the event as a way of deeping further, our democratic process. While I urge INEC, the electoral umpire to scale- up their efforts at ensuring free, fair and credible elections are delivered in Nigeria, I also crave your indulgence once again not to be demoralised as a result of the postponement but to see it as a temporary setback and, an opportunity to step up our mobilisation efforts to enable all APC Candidates across board, in our local government area, Lagos State, and Nigeria, in the forthcoming polls, coast to victory.
