Oris takes over from bamigbetan as SA on communication and communities

In
a swift change of baton in the Lagos state cabinet, Honorable Hakeem Sulaiman, popularly known as Oris has taken over as the Special Adviser on Communities and Communication to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state, from the erstwhile occupant of the office, Honourable Kehinde Bamigbetan, who has now been redeployed to the office of Commissioner for Information and Strategy. Oris, who was a three-term chairman of Bariga Local Council Development Area and erstwhile chairman of all chairmen of councils during his stewardship as a council boss, has since resumed in office, hitting the ground running. It therefore came as no surprise to many when within few days of resuming in his new portfolio, he has started showing signs of someone who knows what the job is all about, having been in the grassroots level of local government politics for the better part of his sterling and glowing political life. He comes across a s someone who is in a familiar terrain, and will definitely do a good jopb, given the right atmosphere to operate maximally and optimally, which his performing governor has promised him and other new appointees when being sworn-in into office. Just like his predecessor in the new office, Kehinde Bamigbetan, who was also a council chairman before he became the Special Adviser in the above portfolio, Oris is als following in the same pattern, amnd the insinuation in many quarters is that, the next level for Oris may be that of commissioners ship, if all permutations and arithmetic are to be weighed and considered. But aside this logic, Oris is known to be a workaholic and team player of distinction, and his new designation will be another challenge for him to prove his mettle as a leader of uncommon verve and readiness to deliver. At the maiden meeting he held with members of the Association of Community Media, he pledged his support and listening ears to the members at all times and assured them of a mutual and beneficial relationship between his office and the community media practitioners throughout his tenure; a disclosure that was given a tumultuous applause by all the members who also pledged to work in accordance with the dictate of the good practice of community media. Welcome on board Honourable Oris. (Let’s serve you a compressed version of Oris’ impressive and very compelling profile.) HON. OMOYELE AKEEM SULAIMON – SPECIAL ADVISER ON COMMUNITIES AND COMMUNICATIONS A holder of a Masters’ degree in Personnel Psychology from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye in 2007 and a Masters in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, 1999, Hon.
