Comrade Olusesan Daini, Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA made the declaration because of what he described as “Ambode’s unprecedented, all inclusive governance that had scaled up infrastructure development”.
Daini said that Ambode was adopted as sole candidate in all the 20 Local Government and 37 LCDAs because of his achievements in the past three years.
”Gov. Ambode’s unimaginable performance and commendable zeal for developmental projects have been visible in every nook and crannies of the State, especially in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA.
”In this LCDA, we benefitted in the programmes and policies of Gov. Ambode led-administration. This is why we are declaring out support for his re-election so that he can continue to make our LCDA and Lagos an enviable State,” he added.
Also speaking at the event was the member, Seventh Assembly and former acting Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola who said that Ambode’s performance in office had made the State a reference point in the comity of States in Nigeria.
”In Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, we can see the records, the Igbogbo/Igbe Expressway, Squadron 63 base and other road projects. These are some of the things that placed the Governor ahead of his contemporaries nationwide, ” she said.
Hon Akinsola urged residents to be part of the Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, exercise being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)., adding that their voter’s card remains their weapon with which they can use to support continuity of good government
”You have to register as a voter to be eligible to vote. We must take it seriously to make sure our names are in the voters register. Go to the polling centre to collect your PVC”, Akinsola added.
The APC Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Alhaji Sefiu Ogunyemi said the Governor has proven himself to be a highly focused leader who is committed to the growth of Lagos State. He therefore assured of taking round the Party registration process through the communities in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA for members to register.
The former SSG in the first republic, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun in his remarks commended the GovernorAmbode for his leadership quality, noting that the Governor through hard work has made Lagos State a standard for measuring development in the country.
Present at the declaration were Comrade Olusesan Daini and his Vice, Mr Titilola Adegboyega, Alhaji Sefiu Ogunyemi, Chief Olorunfunmi Basorun, Chief Adenrele Olowu, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, Hon Babajimi Benson, MHR and Hon Nurudeen Sholaja who were ably represented, Hon Gbenga Oshin, Prince Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, Hon Rotimi Olowonisaye, Hon Taiwo Orenuga, CDC, Oloja group, A+ Disciples, Arowolo grassroots foundation, among others.
